The Delaware Chorus Supports Scholars!

Our 2007 Scholar is Carolyn MacNaughton, singer, choreographer, dancer, violinist, teacher and volunteer. What cinched her victory is her record of “giving back to the community with something I love as much as performing”. click here for her full story.

In May of 2006, the second DCC Performing Arts Scholarship was awarded to Danielle Benhke, a 2006 graduate of Hayes High School. She has been taking private voice, piano, and violin lessons and preparing for fall auditions for the College of Wooster. She plans to study either Music Education or Music Therapy. Danielle was awarded the scholarship based on her passion for music and the effects music can have on people's lives.

In May of 2005, Mary Golden became the first winner of the DCC Performing Arts Scholarship. The award was made based on her on-going efforts to reach out and help others discover and enjoy the performing arts. She is a graduate of Hayes High School where she played violin in the school orchestra and Hayes Players. During the summer of 2005, Mary was able to use her scholarship money to attend the Meadowmount School of Music in Westport, New York.
